Jupiter enters Leo - 16th July 2014
This Wed 16th July Jupiter enters Leo until 12 Aug 2015. It takes 12 years for Jupiter to pass through the entire 12 zodiac signs. So what does this mean? Jupiter is the planet of good fortune, optimism, expansion, abundance and protection and excess . Jupiter has been in Cancer since July 2013 which means 4th house/Cancerian matters i.e. family and home experienced focus and the opportunity for amends. Cancer is an water sign so a heightened emotional year for many families and relationships generally. Leo is a fire sign and relates to the 5th house of fun, love affairs, children, creativity, sports and entertainment so generally increased socialising, adventures, positive energy and more births are predicted for this year. Jupiter is at home in this fire sign and encourages self expression. Jupiter in Leo is great for TV, the arts and entertainment world too. Of course, depending on your unique birth chart, calculated from your date, time of birth & location an astrologer could tell you in which area of life this fortuitous planet could be affecting you. So if for example your natal 10th house is Leo, and Jupiter would therefore be passing through this your career could experience fortunate opportunities.
July 12th 2014 - Full Moon in Capricorn
Full Moon in Capricorn today. As always heightened sensitivity, more extreme emotions are common. This Full Moon is in proximity to the Sun in Cancer and Pluto the planet of transformation and the underworld. As Capricorn is a pro active, ambitious earth sign many people may find they feel an extreme need to DO and ask themselves big questions about what to do about life's work or one's calling. As the Sun is in Cancer and in conjunction to Pluto, inner psychological changes may be felt or a feeling of inner evolution or change. An intense and powerful moon and with tomorrow's cardinal cross in opposition to Jupiter, excess may be heightened. Take care folks X
June 27th 2014 - New Moon in Cancer
New Moon in Cancer today, so a great time to clean the house or clear up. A great time to plant the seeds of ideas that you may have been incubating during this month of Mercury retrograde. A super time too to plan, promote, prepare new ideas and put to a wider audience. The Sun and Jupiter are also conjunct(very close to) this new Moon so increased pleasure, good feelings and possibly an increased appetite for food. This New Moon is in positive trine to glamorous Neptune; daydreaming and creativity may be heightened. July should be an easier month for many with Mercury going direct next Tues 2nd July and many other less stressful aspect - a holiday compared to stressful April and challenging, frustrating June. Wishing all a good weekend! X
June 13th 2014 - Full Moon in Sagittarius
Today's Full Moon is in the fire sign Sagittarius. Many of you may have experienced more heated discussions or arguments in the past few days leading up to today's Full Moon amongst other things like weird dreams, restlessness and impatience. Tomorrow's Mars in opposition to Pluto can increase hostility and tension, so try to chill if someone has an attitude problem. Merc Ret heightens miscommunication at the best of times. This Full Moon is in challenging opposition to Mercury which is Retrograde so rehashing old ideas and arguments about 'same old' stuff may make little progress. Emotions heighten generally at Full Moon time and the effects may be felt for the next few days so just try to unwind, stay calm and perhaps watch a classic film (Mercury Retrograde in Cancer). Venus is in opposition to Saturn so indecision may be experienced too. On the plus side Venus is in a nice angle to the Moon tomorrow so a nice aspect if being sociable.
June 7th 2014 Mercury Retrograde in Cancer
Mercury the planet linked to thoughts, communication and short distance travel is now in Retrograde. This means this planet appears to be going backwards in the sky which of course it isn't, it is simply stationary for several weeks. Mercury will turn direct on 1st July. What does this mean astrologically? Whenever Mercury is retrograde expect increased hiccups, disruptions and/or delays with travel plans, increased miscommunication and misunderstandings, more machinery breakdowns and technological problems and confused thinking. Also another common influence with Retrograde is past matters Returning to one's attention. So don't be surprised if you bump into or hear from someone from the past who you may not have seen for years. I should emphasise that the zodiac sign Mercury is passing through can alter what is most effected. Of course, like any influence there are positives and negatives. Mercury Retrograde can be a good time to slow down, reflect, review and rehash things that may not have worked in the past. This Mercury retrograde is in Cancer which is a water sign, so emotional thinking is likely and trips down memory lane. Looking at the past can bring about positive realisations and changes. Generally astrologers advise not to sign important documents or to make important changes during Merc Ret periods, but if you have to then just re read everything and take time to check details, so that you won't have to re visit or re do things in later weeks.
May 14th 2014 - Full Moon in Scorpio
Full Moon in Scorpio today, whose influence you may feel four days before and after. Full Moon phase is not an ideal time to take action, generally it's wiser to wait until after four days so things have settled. One may regret their actions during the Full Moon. As Scorpio is a water sign you may experience extreme emotions, heightened passion, increased moodiness, unsettled sleeping, weird or vivid dreams. As the Sun in Taurus is in challenging opposition to this Moon in Scorpio there may be a pull between Taurus's desire for simplicity and form and the challenges with Scorpio's complexity and intensity. I should mention that Venus is square Pluto for the next few days in square to Pluto, so love can be extreme, infatuations, love at first sight may be felt and impulses can run high as Uranus can desire freedom or excitement. People can act more crazily during the full moon but this is no excuse and after the storm, in calmer times one will then have to face the consequences or reality which may look different in another light. The Full Moon is also conjunct Saturn which can be challenging for secure relationships and have a sobering effect for some people. On the plus side the Full Moon in Scorpio can bring transformation, healing and cleansing, wounds may be healed. Of course, this is a general reading and I would need to see an individual's chart to see how this full moon could affect you and in which area(s) of life.
April 15th 2014 - Full Moon in Libra
Tomorrow the Full Moon is in Libra. It is a lunar eclipse too, so do not be surprised if revelations surface, the truth comes out or you may see things more clearly. Full Moon effects of heightened emotions, exaggerated feelings and restless/disturbed sleep/strange dreams are still possible for four days after. The effects of a lunar eclipse can be up to 3-6 months though. As this full lunar eclipse is in Libra (which relates to justice, balance and 7th house relationship matters) "fairness" issues may arise. If you have any important decisions to make it may be wise to put these on hold until the New Moon, Solar Eclipse in Taurus on 29th April. Whatever the case, eclipses often herald transition and change but this need not be feared. Just try to keep calm and balance during any upheavals, new doors can open! April is not an easy month especially with the grand cross but it certainly won't be boring. And May will be much gentler generally.
